This is a print I made for my printmaking class. It's the intaglio technique, where we had to create an image on a zinc plate, etch it in acid solution, aqua tint it, wipe it with ink, then print it on paper. It was a tedious and overwhelming process, but one of the easiest processes we had to do, which is saying a lot.
For the project, we had to pick out a song title and derive an illustration from it. My teacher wanted us to dig deep, but the depth of my soul consists of a stoned octopus eating ramen. "Flagranti" is a song by Romanowski.
heya gauxy ;D long time no see. Mannnn i remember doing that in my class a year ago. Was pretty fun but time consuming as hell. Do you guys get to work with color too?
For 2 of our projects we got to use color. I really did love that class...it's SOOOO different from just normal drawing/ painting class and SOOOO worthless now that the digital age is here. But who doesn't like working with mind altering chemicals???

Hail the Flying Spaghetti Monster! For with His mighty noodley appendage He created Ramen in seven days. And it is foretold that He will guide his children to MSG rich flavor packets. Praise Him and all of the marvels that are His carbohydrates!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
